Nefertiti

illustrated concert for family

Nefertiti is an illustrated and poetic concert around the mythical character of ancient Egypt, including musicians, visuals and video creation. It tells the mysterious story of the pharaoh, one of the most important female figures of her time, in an evocative and suggestive way, leaving free rein to everyone’s imagination. Through the eyes of the sculptor Thoutmôsis, one can imagine how the image and beauty of Nefertiti were sublimated and engraved in time. The concert is illustrated musically by the musicians of the Collectif Koa, visually by Olivier Bonhomme’s illustrations projected on video, and scenographically by Daniel Fayet.

Nefertiti - Concert illustré

Press review

MIDI LIBRE – MARCH 2021
This musical and vocal narration retraces the torments of the sculptor Thoutmôsis to whom Akhenaten entrusts the heavy task of creating the bust of the one who is considered the most beautiful woman of his time and the equal of men. (…) The show intended for a young audience is in fact attractive to a wider audience. The interpretations of jazz, guitar riffs, world music, punctuated by the voice of Caroline Sentis and the voice over between two pieces, on a background of large screen graphics with effigies of Nefertiti, made the audience present immerse in a legend mixed with reality with mixes of beautiful sounds.
