Gratitude Trio

FRANCO-BELGIAN JAZZ

Gratitude Trio is composed of Jeroen Van Herzeele, a saxophonist who is a fixture on the Belgian jazz scene, Louis Favre, a drummer who has been living in Brussels for the past 15 years, and Alfred Vilayleck, a bassist based in Montpellier and founder of the Collectif Koa.

The three musicians met in 2010 during an improvised concert at the Brussels Jazz Marathon, and their musical affinities led them to record an eponymous album in 2012 on El Negocito Records, following a series of concerts marked by exceptional energy and cohesion. They name the group Gratitude Trio in reference to the composition that closes each concert, an energetic trance that determines their musical aesthetic.
