Sandra Cipolat is a young and talented pianist, graduate of the jazz class at the Cité des Arts – Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Montpellier. Influenced by artists such as Jacob Collier, D’Angelo, Herbie Hancock, and Tigran Hamasyan, she first gained recognition in 2019 with the Grand Orchestre de Jazz d’Occitanie (GROô, 1st edition).
The Sandra Cipolat Trio was founded by Sandra Cipolat (keyboards – vocals), driven by a shared musical vision and a deep friendship with Pablo Auguste (bass) and Killian Rebreyend (drums). After Killian’s departure, Réunionese drummer Arjuna Mariapin joined the trio, maintaining the group’s musical synergy. With this project, Sandra aimed to free herself from musical conventions and create a repertoire without constraints.
With HUMAN, the trio breaks boundaries by blending jazz, contemporary music, and soul, affirming that jazz is a truly contemporary art form. She tells stories of the people who have shaped her, offering an autobiographical repertoire that immerses listeners in universal narratives filled with love, joy, anger, and even violence. Through socially engaged and feminist texts, she celebrates human diversity.

Thanks to the création residency program by Occijazz, the trio began working on HUMAN, supported by the Scène Nationale de Sète, with a first creative phase in November 2023. Since then, the Sandra Cipolat Trio has continued developing within various networks in France, Spain, and beyond. The group recently won a cross-residency with Catalan artists, supported by the CNM, the Institut Français, and the Taller de Músics (Barcelona), with a residency scheduled in Barcelona at the end of June 2025.
With her previous project FINAL CUT, she proposed a poetic jazz repertoire inspired by cinema. In a very different style, this project featured a different lineup: Léo Chazallet (electric bass) and Julien Grégoire (drums). In 2021, the trio won the Jazz 70 competition at the Nîmes Métropole Jazz Festival and has since performed at the Jamboree in Barcelona, the Nîmes Métropole Jazz Festival, and the Jazz à Vienne festival in 2023.
In August 2023, the Sandra Cipolat Trio’s first album, Final Cut, was released both physically and on streaming platforms. Produced by Collectif Koa and distributed by L’Autre Distribution.
